FAR 1400 straight radiator lockshield valve for steel pipe
FAR 1400 is a straight chrome-plated radiator lockshield valve, normally installed on the radiator return connection. It allows the flow to be shut off and adjusted for hydraulic balancing of an individual radiator in a central heating or air-conditioning system.
Unlike the angled FAR 1200 model, FAR 1400 has a straight design, with the radiator connection and pipe connection positioned on the same axis. The valve is designed for direct connection to a steel pipe.
The radiator tailpiece has a male tapered R thread and is factory pre-sealed with Loctite® Dri-Seal® 5061. The pipe connection has a female parallel G thread.
The valve is equipped with a brass protective cap, an adjustment spindle with double O-ring sealing and a metal shut-off element with an additional O-ring seal. An HPF seat provides sealing between the radiator tailpiece and the valve body.
The body and connecting components are made of brass, while the seals are made of EPDM. The chrome-plated finish provides a neat appearance, including in visible radiator installations.
The valve is suitable for use with water or water-glycol mixtures. The nominal operating pressure is 16 bar and the maximum operating temperature is 95 °C.
