FAR 1630 straight thermostatic valve for multilayer, copper or PE pipe

FAR 1630 is a straight thermostatic radiator valve designed for connecting a radiator to multilayer, copper or plastic/PE pipe.

Unlike the angled FAR 1610 valve, the FAR 1630 has a straight design, with the radiator and pipe connections positioned on the same axis.

The pipe side has a standard FAR 24 × 19 connection. A suitable fitting must be selected according to the pipe material, outside diameter and wall thickness. The valve can therefore be used with appropriate fittings for:

• multilayer pipe;
• copper pipe;
• plastic or PE pipe.

The valve is available as FAR 1630 38 – 3/8″ and FAR 1630 12 – 1/2″. Both versions use the FAR 24 × 19 pipe connection.

The valve is prepared for installation of a thermostatic or electrothermal head for regulating the heating-medium flow through the radiator. It features a stainless-steel stem with a double O-ring seal, a reinforced return spring and a flat valve plug.

The radiator tailpiece is factory pre-sealed with Loctite® Dri-Seal® 5061. An HPF seat provides sealing between the tailpiece and the valve body. The chrome-plated finish provides a neat appearance for visible radiator installations.

Important fitting information

The pipe fitting is normally not included with the valve. It must be selected according to the pipe type and dimensions.

For 16 × 2 mm multilayer pipe, the suitable fitting is:

FAR 6055 58190 – fitting for 16 × 2 mm multilayer pipe with 24 × 19 connection.
