The FEIN VersaMAG 100 mm 90701003020 is a mobile magnetic vise developed for fast, flexible and secure clamping of metal workpieces. Its compact construction and extra-narrow permanent magnet allow it to be positioned directly on suitable steel workbenches, beams, structural components, machinery and other ferromagnetic surfaces.

No drilling, bolting or permanent modification of the supporting surface is required. The permanent magnet uses a 30% magnetic bias, allowing the user to position and align the vise accurately before activating its full holding force.

The innovative two-rotor system generates a magnetic holding force of up to 7,800 N. According to FEIN, it can also be used on thin steel sheets starting from 4 mm thickness, although the actual holding force depends on the thickness, flatness, condition and cleanliness of the supporting surface.

The vise has 100 mm wide jaws, a jaw height of 40 mm and a maximum clamping width of 108 mm. Its integrated V-groove is suitable for round workpieces and pipes, with a V-groove pipe diameter of up to 46 mm and a stated maximum pipe diameter of 61 mm.

The compact magnetic base makes the FEIN VersaMAG 100 mm suitable for confined spaces, narrow structural elements and vertical surfaces. It is particularly useful where a conventional permanently mounted bench vise cannot be installed or has to be moved frequently.

Once securely clamped, workpieces can be processed using angle grinders, drill/drivers, saws, FEIN MULTIMASTER oscillating tools and other power tools. The application images on pages 2 and 3 of the supplied brochure show grinding, drilling, cutting, welding and work on metal structures.

The VersaMAG platform has a modular design and can be expanded with interchangeable jaws, aluminium jaw protectors, a welding plate, a universal mounting plate and other compatible accessories.
